While the recipe is still a vital part of many a kitchen, there has been an evolution regarding it. Whereas those recipes used to be house in recipe books, handwritten on paper, or collected from paper magazines, now a great deal of them come from iPads. Being such a bussling room, electronics in the kitchen can be a suspect choice. With all that cooking, cleaning, baking, prepping and occasional dancing for some something is bound to go flying, spilling, or pouring onto the kitchen countertops.

Obviously, this is not a plea to keep those ultra useful time efficient, space saving organisers out of the kitchen. Instead, it is a call to minimize the potential for damage to those newly acquired, much adored iPads. Do this not with one of those holders that they sell with the units, as they can be bulky, and expensive. Instead, get a good old fashioned plate stand that will prop up the tablet and elevate it off the counter. Is will cut down on the amount of space the pad takes up, angle it so it can be easily read, and keep it free and clear from those all too frequent kitchen messes and spills. Oh and an acrylic plate stand will be easy to clean, and resistant to damage.
